Requirement for candidates age 19-35 y.o,/age will discuss/ if possible basic English or in group in one farm any persons must speak English,previous agriculture experience is advance.
Driving license or tractor license will be advance.
Work
Outside Work: Picking or cutting vegetables in the field. (Paid day-work).
Inside Work: (In a shed)
“Standing Potatoes”
de-shooting potatoes and arranging the
potatoes in boxes according to size.
(Paid piecework).
General farm work.

Wages – from £7.50 per hour
Payment every week in Saturday.
Hours of Work – 50-55 hours per week, on average
Accommodation – is provided for all workers and employers are entitled, by law,
to charge up to £40,00-£42.12 per person, per week.

In addition, employers will make a small charge for utilities – electricity / gas / water.
Social Security – it is a legal requirement for an employer to deduct 6% from the
employee’s wages for Social Security.
Income Tax – all employees have to register at the Income Tax Department prior to
commencing work and employers have to, by law, deduct a percentage of their
employees’ wages as requested under the Income Tax Instalment System.
Registration Card – it is now a legal requirement for every worker arriving in Jersey
to work for the first time, to obtain a Registration Card.
A one-off charge of £80.00 will be made for the Card.
If will necessary farms pay for inbound tickets.
The tickets price will charge from salary applicants after first month work.
