    ACTUAL PROPOSITIONS

    Work preposition in Canada season 2018-2019

     

    1.  Banff, Alberta

    Positions: 6 persons for housekeeping (males and females), 1-2 persons for front desk.

    Dates: From December or April or May for 12 months. Another start dates are upon request. Requirements: 20-35 y.o. , for reception good English, for housekeeping communicative English. Wages: 14,00 $ per hour + bonus of the end summer based on the work excellence.

    Working hours: 35-40 hrs/week

    Accommodation: provided by hotel in single and twin rooms, cost 200 (bed     in twin room) — 350 (single room) CAD$ per month.

    Uniform: provided by hotel.

     

    2.  Lake Louise resort, Alberta

     Positions: 2 bartenders, 1 front desk agent, 1 Spa receptionist, 2 housekeeping (female preferred), 2 kitchen helper attendants.

    Dates: from December or mid April and from mid April to mid October.

    Requirements: 18-35 y.o., communicative English for housekeeping and kitchen helper, good English for other positions. Experience: 1-2 years of previous experience for bartender, front desk, Spa receptionist.

    Working hours: 40 hrs/week, 5 days/week.

    Wages vary by position:

    • Bartender: $13/hour + gratuities + $1.00/hour bonus (if they stay until end of season)
    • Front Desk Agent: $2400/month; may be increased to $2600/month after 3 months
    • Spa Receptionist: $14/hour + $1.00/hour bonus (if they stay until end of season)
    • Housekeeping Room Attendant: $14.00/hour (no bonus – wage is higher than others).
    • Dishwasher/Kitchen Prep: $13.00/hour + $1.00/hour bonus (if they stay until end of season) Accommodation and meal: provided by hotel. Accommodation includes a private room in staff housing (7 min walk from the hotel), and 3 meals per day in staff dining room at the hotel (maximum cost is $600/month).

    Uniform:

    • Bartender: employee provides black dress pants, black or white shirt, tie (any color), black
    • Front Desk Agent:

    *Male employee provides – black dress pants, white shirt, tie (any color), black shoes.

    *Females – uniform is provided by hotel. They need to bring stockings, and black shoes.

    • Spa Receptionist, Housekeeping Room Attendant, Dishwasher/Kitchen Prep: Uniform provided

     

    3.  Lake Louise resort, Canadian Rocky Mountains of Banff National Park, Alberta

     Positions: 11 housekeeping (females), 1 head housekeeper, 1 maintenance

    Dates: Mid May from first of October 5 months.

    Requirements:

      19 – 26 years,

      Experience: no previous experience, just a willingness to learn and have a positive attitude.   Language: Knowledge of English,

      Attention to detail, an interest in hiking and exploring the mountains, positive attitude, good work ethic

    Wages: $14.00/hour with a $3.00/hour bonus paid at the end if individuals stay until contract completion

    Working hours: 32 – 37 hours per week

    Accommodation: provided on site at $7.50/day, kitchen facilities provided in accommodation, no meal plan.

    Uniform: provided by hotel

     

    4.  Stoneridge Mountain Resort, Canmore, Alberta

     Positions: 2 front desk, 3 housekeeping (males & females). Attention: hotel can provide mix positions: half day front desk, half day housekeeping)

    Dates: from now or May for 6-12 months.

    Requirements: 18-35 y.o., communicative English, 6-12 months experience for front desk.

    Wages: 14 $ per hour.

    Working hours: 40 hrs/week.

    Accommodation: $10-12 a day per person in shared room. No private room.

    Uniform: provided by hotel.

     

    5.  Big White resort, British Columbia.

     Positions: 6-12 housekeepers/cleaners and laundry staff.

    Dates: from beginning of December to mid-April.

    Requirements: 20-30 y.o., good oral understanding of English, Experience is a plus, but not necessary.

    Wages: $14,75 plus piece rate for cleans

    Working hours: 40 hrs/week, 2 days off.

    Accommodation: hotel does not provide accommodation. Approximate monthly rent for a bed in a shared room within a house 500 CAD$.

    Uniform: hotel provides T-shirts only.

     

    6.  Muskoka-Georgian Bay Lake district, Ontario

     Positions: 4 housekeeping, 2 kitchen helper, 3 grounds, 6 waitress, 3 office.

    Dates: from mid May till mid October

    Requirements: 18-35 years old, good English for waitress and front office, for other position communicative. Experience is a plus but not necessary. Training will be provided.

    Wages: 14 CAD$ per hour.

    Working hours: approximately 40 hrs/week.

    Accommodation and meal: provided by hotel. CAD$ 69.40 per week for room and 3 meals daily. Uniform: provided by hotel. Employee must purchase uniform, price varies depending upon department. Up to CAD$ 100.

     

    7.  Hotels and restaurants in Banff

     Positions: front desk, waiting staff, cook, dishwashers, housekeeping, houseman/cleaner, maintenance.

    Dates: upon request

    Requirements: 18-35 years old, English (must be able to understand both oral and written instructions in English). Experience is a plus.

    Wages: after interview

    Working hours: approximately 40 hrs/week.

    Accommodation and meal: provided by hotel at Staff Residence from $18 – $28 per day depending on the type of accommodation and availability. Food & Beverage Discounts. Different benefit programs.

     

    8.  Jasper National Park

    Positions: waiting staff, housekeeping.

    Dates: from April-June till October

    Requirements: 18-35 years old, excellent English for waiting staff, conversational English for houskeeping. Previous experience for waiting staff. For waiting staff training must be completed online.

    Wages: For waiters $CAD 13.85/hour + Gratuities, for housekeeping $CAD 14.75/hour.

    Working hours: approximately 40 hrs/week.

    Accommodation and meal: accommodation is provided by hotel at a cost of $CAD 8/day for a dorm style room and $12.50/day for a private room. Meals are not provided but the staff houses have kitchens with cooking utensils.
